Ticket issuing agency may terminate specific game ticket sales if the tickets expire, tickets are sold out, or if all high-tier prizes have been paid out. Retailers are informed via issuing Agency’s homepage and/or other means. The issuing Agency performs settlement on all tickets that have been sold, paid prize amount, all non-sold tickets, and relevant data.

The settlement process for sold tickets is performed by adding the total amount sold, uncollected amount, amount previously paid as small prizes, and balance amount from the settled retailer (may include wholesalers and regional offices etc.) accounts. The number of tickets distributed is adjusted according to the retailer’s available fund.

The settlement of a prize amount is performed by calculating the commission per ticket and profits for the lottery fund by summing up small prizes paid by each retailer, small prize tickets collected from the regional offices, and high prizes paid from the banks. A processing method must be defined to re-conciliate any discrepancies due to damaged tickets, and/or forgery/ticket fabrication.

The discard of non-sold tickets is performed by checking whether the number of tickets obtained (by adding the number of tickets sold and the number of non-sold tickets) is identical to the number of tickets issued. One can verify and validate the serial numbers with the key to check for any forgery and/or ticket fabrication on all awarded tickets, sold tickets, and non-sold tickets.

When a prize payout period ends all original printing plates and game data are discarded to prevent any access to the historical game data and/or any relevant materials that may pose risk in ticket forgery/fabrication.
