The purpose of this paper is to analyze trends in the global gambling industry and the characteristics of countries using big data tool of network analysis and semantic analysis with gambling related 9,128 studies from 1960 to 2016 in the world. The results of the analysis of gambling related studies, there are two insights. First thing is that study on technology has been increased last decade. We can understand that the development of internet betting is global situation. Second thing is that there are three types of study pattern like prohibition, alibi and risk as a gambling model with the perspective of public policy and regulation. First one was study pattern with the perspective which regards gambling is focusing disorder and patient in gambling area. Second thing was study pattern with the perspective which regards gambling is public policy focusing health and decision in wagering sport like sports betting and horse racing. Third one was study pattern with the perspective which regards gambling is entertainment focusing technology and internet in lottery, casino and internet game. Using the analysis of previous studies, we would like to insist that state need to design public policy about gambling industry after understanding public's awareness and social environment including technology.
