- Social and Economic Impact Study into Gambling in Tasmania(Volume 1)

In 2007, the Tasmanian Department of Treasury and Finance commissioned a study into the social and economic impact of gambling in Tasmania. One component of this project was the completion of a survey study to obtain up-to-date figures concerning the prevalence of gambling and problem gambling in Tasmania. This prevalence study would be the fifth designated1 major stand-alone study to be conducted in the State since 1994 and would provide insights into changes in the attitudes and behaviour of Tasmanians since the last survey in 2005.
