In 1999, the Prince Edward Island Department of Health and Social Services conducted
the first comprehensive study of gambling and problem gambling in Prince Edward
Island (Doiron & Nicki, 1999) which provided an estimate of the extent of gambling and
problem gambling in the province. The purpose of the current study was to reassess the level of gambling and problem gambling in Prince Edward Island.
