The purposes of the Institute are to:
* Expand the breadth and depth of scientific knowledge into gambling;
* Provide education about current knowledge through research publications and reporting ofresearch results;! Provide research related to emergent gaming activities;
* Act as a clearinghouse for literature related to gaming research;
* Forge strong collaborative links with national and international scholars and organizations involvedin gaming/gambling research and studies.
