Abstract: Addiction is a recent concept. Pathological gambling is a frequent addictive disorder. Pathological gambling is frequently comorbid with psychiatric disorders, personality disorder or substances abuse or dependence. Affective disorder, especially bipolar disorder, is the most frequent psychiatric conditions comorbid with pathological gambling. This kind of association needs further researches. In clinical practice comorbid association with affective disorder is of special interest. (C) 2010 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
